Why Bones & Balance Matters

- Limited access to structured, research-based exercise programs.
Bones & Balance addresses these issues by:
- Offering exercises specifically designed to strengthen bones and improve stability.
- Educating participants about osteoporosis, its causes, and how to manage risk factors.
- Providing a supportive environment for seniors to achieve better physical health.
MOVE SMART, STAY STRONG, THRIVE
How Bones & Balance Works
The program uses a combination of educational resources and practical exercises to create meaningful results.
1. Educational Videos
Participants gain access to the “Bones & Balance: An Exercise Guide to Reduce Your Risk of Osteoporosis and Falling” video series, inspired by the research of Dr. Christine Snow and her team. This includes:
- An introduction to osteoporosis and its causes.
- Risk factors and preventative measures.
- Easy-to-follow guidance tailored to seniors.
2. Standing Exercises
Unlike traditional seated exercises, Bones & Balance features routines performed while standing, which:
- Enhance postural stability.
- Engage more muscles for improved strength and coordination.
- Include optional weighted vests to add resistance and build bone density.
3. Tailored Fitness Plans
Participants can personalize their exercise routines based on their fitness level. The program supports gradual progress to ensure safety and effectiveness for everyone.
